I’ve heard from one person that when arms are straight down the bottom of the jacket should be at the knuckles or just a little more.

If you put your arm flat down the sides of your body, you should be able to fold your fingers around the bottom, i.e. the palm of your hand against the outside of the jacket, and fold your fingers around so your tips are touching the inside of the jacket, it should sit perfectly in your fingers.

Although in truth it’s probably not that important so long as it fits and looks smart enough…
